Do you offer free global shipping? Are there customs duties? Is it EU friendly?

Yes we do offer free shipping worldwide.

What makes the Passport different from travel adaptors already on the market?

The worry-free auto-resetting fuse is definitely the most unique feature that sets Passport apart from traditional travel adapters. In addition, its “Press and Slide” one-handed operation, four powerful USB ports, and beautiful & ergonomic industrial design all do their part in making Zendure Passport the best travel adapter money can buy.

What is it made of?

Passport is made of a durable ABS/PC fire-resistant material.

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

Can I keep it in my checked baggage or carry-on bag when flying?

Yes, absolutely. It has no battery inside so you are free to carry it any way you would like.

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

Is there a warranty?

Passport comes with an 18-month limited warranty from the date of purchase, excluding accessories.

How does the auto-resetting fuse work?

It’s actually a mini switch with built-in Bimetallic Temperature Sensors. It consists of two thermally different metals stuck together back to back. When it is cold the contacts are closed and current passes through the switch. When it gets hot, one metal expands more than the other and the bonded bimetallic strip bends, opening the contacts and preventing the current from flowing. The fuse can stand up to 10,000 cycles.

What is the max output (both DC/USB and AC)?

Max AC Power: 6A (600W at 100V and 1500W at 250V) USB Output: 2.4A/12W Max per port; 5A/25W Max Total

Are there any parts to lose?

No. Everything is integrated into one unified body.

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

What countries will this work in?

Passport works in over 150 countries. See the full list here.

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

Does it need a replacement fuse?

No. The auto-resetting fuse is built-in and can last up to 10,000 cycles.

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

Is it grounded?

No. It’s not necessary since most devices you carry when you travel do not need to be grounded. Passport should only be used with double insulated equipment, which will be clearly marked with the symbol shown in this image: http://www.electricalsafetyfirst.org.uk/media/100429831/double-insulated-symbol.jpg

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

Is it USB C compatible?

Yes, as long as you have a Type-A to Type-C cable (cable not included with Passport).

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

Will this work with a hair dryer, curling iron, or flat iron?

It depends on the working voltage of the device. Passport can handle a maximum 6A of AC current (that’s 600W at 100V, and 1500W at 250V). As long as the device has a lower power rating than that, it’ll be fine.

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

Is this a voltage converter?

No, it doesn’t convert voltage. Please use caution to make sure it’s the right voltage before you plug in the appliances.

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:49

Will a US three prong plug fit in Passport? Does this work with US polarized plugs?

Yes, but the middle prong will not be grounded.

Yes, it does work with polarized plugs, but please make sure the device is double-insulated before using the Passport.

Last updated: June 29, 2017 22:46

What does it come with?

Passport comes with a carry bag, a user manual, a thank-you card, 18-month warranty, some free travel-related stickers, and friendly Zendure service. It comes with a travel bag which can carry the Passport and a few cables together so it’s tidy and clean for you.

Does Passport's auto-resetting fuse function as a circuit protector or surge protector?

No. The auto-resetting fuse protects Passport’s components from suffering damage due to devices that draw too much current. A traditional fuse also does not offer surge protection.

Surge protection has a different function and design aimed at mitigating very short bursts of intense power.

Surge protection is usually built-in the household circuit breaker, wall outlets or large power strips already. There’s no need to add surge protection inside a travel adapter and reinvent the wheels. Plus, it wastes valuable space in the product and will only make it unnecessarily bigger.

A lot of low quality travel adapters make false claims about having surge protection, which is misleading.

What certification & standards you are going to submit Passport to?

British Standard BS1363 or BS8546 (TBC), CE (EMC): EN55032:2015, CE (LVD): EN60950-1:2006, FCC Part 15 (Subpart B, Class B), IEC/EN 60884-2-5 (Plugs and Socket-outlets for Household and Similar Purposes. Part 2: Particular Requirements for Adapters), RoHS

Why it can't be smaller?

The space inside Passport is used very efficiently. Offering collapsible male connectors inline with the female connectors, the auto-resetting fuse, and tucking four USB ports, the PCBA, etc into the one area that’s just large enough to hold them, plus the baby-proof shutters, the whole enclosure was shaped around the function of the device. Plus, the Passport is not big at all. It’s a perfect size to fit in any travel bags or luggage, and it’s ergonomically designed to be comfortably used with one hand. The might be smaller adapters out there, but none of them can compete with Passport in the terms of the features we offer.

Does USB ports support QC2.0 or QC3.0?

It does not. Instead, Passport has ZEN+ technology, which means each port automatically detects the power that the device needs and deliver optimized amount of current, up to 2.4A each port, and 5A in total.

In order to make Passport small enough to carry, there’s literally no space left in Passport to fit in a QC3.0 module. If we do make one of the four ports a 18W QC3.0 port, the other three would only have room for 7W, which would be too low. Passport is designed to charge four USB devices overnight during your travel, so 25W total output should be enough for most scenarios, plus, it’s already way higher than most of the travel adapters out there, which normally only offer 2.1A/10.5W total output and 2 USB ports.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
